Vintage Chinese Orange Lidded Ginger China Jar Decorated with Dragon and Phoenix Bird
A Chinese traditional vintage decorative Dragon and Phoenix flat Ginger Jar with an unusual flat hollow lid. The beautiful red orange and gold glazed porcelain ginger jar features a hand-painted cameo image of a Phoenix bird on one side and a Dragon on the other. Around these images, the jar is decorated with a Gold Honeycomb pattern hand-painted over the red glaze. Also has a row of embossed raised bumps around the rim and base. The flat lid is unusual and is hollow with pierced fretwork. Gold decorates the rim.
Mark: Zhongguo Jingdezhen, CHINA, =D= – China Jingdezhen.
The back stamp features green Chinese characters and the word ‘CHINA‘.
