Wedgwood Bone China Hexagonal Trinket/Jewellery Box with Lid in the Oriental Chinese Legend design (1980-90s)

This lidded box in this pattern is truly rare. It is part of Wedgwood’s Chinese Legend collection (Pattern Code: WW CHL). The Chinese Legend pattern has all the elements of the traditional “old blue Willow” pattern – the pagoda, two birds (Swallows), a fence, a boat, a three-arched bridge across which three Chinese figures are walking and the Willow tree. This discontinued pattern ran from 1987-1993. It is six sided and decorated on all sides as well as the lid. This box is fine bone china, made in England.
Marked “Wedgwood®, Bone China, Made in England, Chinese Legend©” on the underside. The black Portland Vase is printed on the base. The number 52 is printed on the underside of the lid.
